Two is better than one. These twin cottages are part of a charming family compound on the shores of Great East Lake. At just under 1,500 square feet, the ‘Little Cottage’ has all the amenities of a larger home with a spacious and updated kitchen, breakfast nook and two bedrooms. Careful thought and planning was put into all the built-ins to maximize storage so that we were even able to fit in a small home office wall unit. The vaulted ceiling in the main living area makes the space feel open, spacious, airy and bigger than it actually is. A summer-y color palette of blue, white and washed wood tones throughout gives the spaces a unified and harmonious vibe. The ‘Big Cottage’ is the space for the kids (and their kids) when they come to visit with two bedrooms, bunk room, eat-in kitchen and tv sitting area. The most magnificent space in this cottage is the large and gracious screen porch where the entire family gathers to share meals and play games.
