Situated on a multi-generational family lot on a lake in New Hampshire, this newly constructed vacation residence was thoughtfully designed to bridge the property's rich history with the needs of future generations. The home features a classic shingle-style exterior paired with a traditionally detailed interior, evoking a timeless and comfortable lakeside atmosphere.
The design intent for the home was to create elevated, elegant living spaces yet all created for easy, casual living.
Every room of the house faces the calm waters of the lake. Every space was constructed with meticulous attention to detail as well playful use of color and textiure to create a light-hearted, family friendly home.
The kitchen is the heart of the home with two islands for lots of space to cook and gather. Adjacent to the kitchen is a casual dining room which opens out to a grand screened in porch, for long, lazy days either enjoying a card game or sitting by the fire.
These central living spaces are ideal for bringing the family together.
The thoughtful floor plan prioritizes longevity and versatility. The main floor layout is optimized for accessibility and ease of use and emphasizes gracious spaces for family gatherings as well as cozy nooks for sitting and enjoying the lake while reading a book.
An attached apartment was included specifically to accommodate a potential live-in caregiver
This house was designed with a great deal of synergy between the inside and outside spaces. A large, open living space serves as the home's heart. A NanaWall system in the kitchen and dining area retracts to seamlessly merge the interior with a massive screened porch, perfect for summer entertaining.
This house is designed to host large groups with ease with five dedicated bedrooms plus a specialized bunkroom for younger guests
A "camp-style" bathroom located off the bunkroom provides a whimsical, memorable experience for children and adults alike.
The shoreline was fully developed with a new two-slip boathouse, a private dock, and a breakwater to ensure a complete lakeside lifestyle.
